The Watch
In horology, the Constellation is synonymous with art of luxurious precision in its most refined form: a high-performance movement combined with the perfection of an elegant and refined exterior. On the dial: the name Constellation highlighted by an applied gold star. On the case back: the famous medallion featuring an observatory crowned by a constellation of eight stars, evoking the numeros exploits of Omega in world chronometer competition, among which are the famous world precision records set in 1933 and 1936.The constellation stands for proud, luxury and prestige.
The name Constellation was suggested to Adolphe Vallat, Omega’s sales manager, by Bruno Passoni, a sales representative of Carlo De Marchi, Omega’s general agent for Italy.

The Condition
Standard features include lyre-shaped lugs, silver crosshair “pie-pan” dial with applied indices, applied logo, “OMEGA” Constellation star and silver dauphine hands. The printing on this dial correctly omits the “OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” designation that became standard on later models.
The silver pie pan dial with black printed cross hairs has developed an uniqe grey-ish, almost light blue-ish. Its so hard to capture the beauty of it but We hope the pictures make it fair.
Omega Caliber 551 automatic chronometer with 24 jewels is serviced and under warranty.
Original crown and crystal. The crystal got some small marks and thin ”ding” on the side at 12 a clock. Since its the original crystal and the ding is hard to see We have decided to not replace the crystal.
Overall, this is a lovely vintage 14766!
