The Watch
Louis Brandt (born year 1825) founded an assembly workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds back in 1848 - that was the beginning of OMEGA. His sons; Loius-Paul Brandt and César Brandt further developed the company and were among the first to apply refined mechanical manufacturing procedures to high quality watches.
The year 1894 saw the beginning of the production of the famous Omega calibers, remarkable for its perfect construction. With the end of the second World War Omega is overwhelmed with orders.

The Condition
This watch is amazing! Well preserved original dial with beautiful index, a 2639 36mm case in very good condition and a brown strap - what more to ask for?
The dial is beautiful and 100% factory dial. There is some small marks and signs of ageing as you can see in the pictures but what more to expect on a watch from 1950? Since this is an early 2639 it got the more uncommon cal. 265.
The case is in very good condition, still sharp. The caseback got some thin, small signs from wear but no deep scratches.
The crown is original.
