The Watch

We probably aren’t alone in realising that Movado is a far too low valued watch brand. There are tons of discredited and underestimated watch brands but perhaps Movado is the most forgotten of them all. Especially if you take a look at what they have done in terms of engineering and design. We will only touch a fraction of their achievements but we hope to shed some light on this amazing brand. Movado was founded in 1881 in a small watchmakers shop in Chaux -de-Fonds. The name is sprung from the international language Esperanto and means active.

The Condition

The dial of this Movado is amazing with just Light oxidation to the lacquer finish in the upper right zone as well as even spotting to the silver dauphine hour and minute hands. Underneath index six it have the correct "Switzerland" typing.

The case is in a lovely, unpolished condition with sharp edges. There is some small signs of wear at the lugs and caseback, but as you can see, the case is amazing considering the age of this watch.

The crystal (plexi) is in very good condition with just small, small signs of use. This rare watch really is as nice as it looks in the pictures.
