The Watch
Dating back to 1952, the Omega Constellation has been regarded as one of the most luxurious and precise watch collections offered by the brand. Add to that the fact that they have always been chronometer-rated, and you have a watch that is not only stunning in nearly any setting but also incredibly accurate.
This ref 168.009 is an especially beautiful example from the 3rd generation of the Constellation, with its Gerald Genta-designed C-shaped case, unique and rare green lacquer vignette dial, and workhorse cal. 564 movement. It would be an excellent classic piece to add to any collection.
The original and extremely uncommon green lacquer vignette dial is absolutely stunning. The tritium lume plots have achieved a charming creamy golden patina and show no degradation under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation present when inspected under UV light.

The Condition
This watch is one of a kind. We have come across the red-ish and blue-ish dial before but the green "Vignette" is really(!) hard to find!
The dial is 100% factory original and very well preserved as you can see. No hard damage or discoloration. Other details, such as the Constellation star above the six o’clock marker and the applied Omega logo complete a very attractive dial.
The case is a beautiful with small signs of wear - but what to expect for a watch thats over 50 years old. The bracelet got some stretch but still is very beautiful and so nice to wear, overall; this is an amazing watch that you don't see very often!
