Jaeger LeCoultre released the Marine Master in 1958, the same year as the original Geophysic. The Jaeger LeCoultre Master Mariner kicked off a line of watches in the American market that would eventually bring on their first dive watches in the ‘60s.
The ”Master Mariner” appeared in a number of advertisements in the late 1950s. In addition to celebrating their 125th anniversary, JLC clearly attempted to market them towards seafaring types, as the ads featured pictures of, and quotes from, ship captains.

A lovely watch for a lovely personality!
The horizontally textured silver dial is in near flawless condition and features trapezoidal markers with circular black onyx inlays. The markers retain all of their original enamel. The original tritium hands have aged to a charming creamy patina.
Brushed stainless steel case with sharp case ends. There is some small signs of wear at the case but no deep dings or scratches. The same for the polished bezel. The caseback got some signs of beeing opened.
The leather strap is used but still in a good condition.
If you search for an uniqe piece of watch art this is the watch for you!
