The Watch
The Seamasters was launched in 1948 and have achieved worldwide fame for their rugged reliability. The Seamaster family had its origins in the watches supplied to the British Airforce during the second world war. In 1954, 50 cases equipped with O-ring gaskets were submitted to a succession of extremely severe tests, both in the factory and at the Swiss Laboratory for Watchmaking Reswarch. Each case perfectly resisted pressures of 6 kg/cm2 (corresponding to a depth of 60 metres) and temperatures from -40 C to +50 C, all without showing any trace of water infiltration or humidity.

The Condition
This dial is amazing, a stunning piece of art. But there are some small indications that it at some point in history might have been re-dialed. With loupe you can see some patina developed through the years but its hard to see. The lume dots have become beautifully brown and so also the lume in the dauphne hands. The crown is original and in very good condition. The case got some scratches and signs of wear. The lugs got some scars/signs of wear. In overall - this rare beefy Lugs Omega Seamaster really is something.
