On the case back: the famous medallion featuring an observatory crowned by a constellation of eight stars, evoking the numeros exploits of Omega in world chronometer competition, among which are the famous world precision records set in 1933 and 1936.The constellation stands for pride, luxury and prestige.
The name Constellation was suggested to Adolphe Vallat, Omega’s sales manager, by Bruno Passoni, a sales representative of Carlo De Marchi, Omega’s general agent for Italy.

The Condition
It's hard to believe that this watch is over 50 years old. The watch is well preserved and in an a beautiful condition despite the age. The original dial is in good condition with small signs of ageing and patina. The case got some small signs of wear. The case is well preserved and the crown is Omega signed. Even the crystal is original with the Omega symbol in the centre. The watch really is as nice as it looks in the pictures.
