The Watch
The Seamaster Professional 200 m was associated with the Faré Mission on the 25th of July 1988, organised by IFREMER, the French maritime research institue. In this expedition, the scientific submarine Nautile (which would later dive to Titanic) dived to a depth of 4,400 metres in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to fix a surveillance module for minitoring seismic movements.
In 1990, the Seamaster 200 m was also on the wrists of Captain John Lloyd and the eight-man crew of "Hoverspeed Great Britian, the largest oceangoing catamaran in the world at the time. On the 23rd of June, the catamaran set a new record for crossing the 3,000 miles of Atlantic Ocean separating New York from Bishop's Rock on the South coast of England, with a time of 3 days, 7 hours and 54 minutes.

The Condition
The Omega Seamaster "Pre-Bond" came in variety of model forms including quartz, steel and two-tone gold, automatic, midsize and fullsize, black and champagne dial, and mercedes or sword hands. The full-size, automatic in steel with black dial and sword-hands is the hardest one to find - but here you have it!
The dial of this Seamaster 200 is stunning; the black face have developed a more black/brown-ish colour with beautiful aged tritium index. The sword hands and the second hand is intact with beautiful lume. The hands may have been te-lumed.
This diver was made to be used and so have this been worn. The case got signs of use as you can see in the photos, both at the bezel and case sides - just as a diver watch should have!
The bracelet fits wrists from 17 cm - 20 cm.
A professional service was done in 2020. The receipt from service is included and the watch have recently been pressure tested for 10 bar, but we always recomend buyers to test again before taking a swim since we never garantee water ressisent of vintage watches.
