Compagnie des Montres Longines Francillon S.A., or simply Longines is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832. Longines winged hourglass logo, which was registered in 1889, is the oldest unchanged yet still active registered trademark.
Over the decades, Longines committed to many different genres of watches. From dress watches to chronographs and from pilot’s watches to divers. Today, its 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s dress watches are a a great entry point into vintage watch collecting. All the heritage and quality you could desire, but still relatively attainable. Once you get sucked into the brand though, there are all sorts of exotic and rare collectibles to be found.

The dial is original and got some natural ageing with a smoth patina and some radium burn as a nice watch from the late 40’s, early 50’s should have. The crystal is in very good condition.
