Girard Perregaux made some incredible watches during the ’50s and ’60s and was truly innovative. As a reminder, it was GP that actually debuted the world’s first high frequency movement in 1966 that ran at an impressive 36,000 vph.
This rare "Gyrodate" 9080 has a unique bezel that works with an internal chapter ring as a calendar. The user turns the bidirectional bezel and aligns the “1” with the day of the week that it falls upon after 12:00. The rest of the month then plays out nicely. Now, pick any date in the month and you’ll know the day of the week.

The case is as good as the dial. An unpolished case with sharp bevels and lugs. The backcase got some small signs of wear but the overall condition report is: Amazing and Stunning!
We got no service history of the watch but everything works without problems, good timekeeping and long power reserve.
