The Watch
This vintage Breitling "Chronomat" is rare in so many ways. This 2508 is part of the Chronomat family even if its not a chronograph. The watch got the Brevet # 217012-patent that refers to the rotating bezel, which is very uncommon! But thats not all. The movement is an automatic Felsa 690 or "Bidynator", the first bidirectionally winding automatic. Bidynator was a brand name for a series of automatic movements produced by the watchmaking company Felsa between 1942 and 1963. It was the first successful movement with a bi-directional winding mechanism. Our Breitling is not only unique to its appearance with the shifting dial and the Kronometer Stockholm mark but also because it has one of these bi-directional winding systems.
