The Watch
The Seamasters was launched in 1948 and have achieved worldwide fame for their rugged reliability. The Seamaster family had its origins in the watches supplied to the British Airforce during the second world war. In 1954, 50 cases equipped with O-ring gaskets were submitted to a succession of extremely severe tests, both in the factory and at the Swiss Laboratory for Watchmaking Reswarch. Each case perfectly resisted pressures of 6 kg/cm2 (corresponding to a depth of 60 metres) and temperatures from -40 C to +50 C, all without showing any trace of water infiltration or humidity.

The Condition
This rare black dial Seamaster is in an outstandig original condition. The case is a "beefy lugs"-case in nice condition with original bevels. The case have some small scratches from use. The crown is original and in very good condition. The dial is the most spectacular detail of this watch - a rare original black dial. The dial shows different character depending on the light. In some light is dark black and glossy, and in other lights its more brown-ish and more matt. Thats a stunner in our opinion! The hands is original Omega but those without lume. For the 2846 its much more common with the lumed hands.
