The Watch
It is easy to understand why Lemania 5100 is one of the most famous and sought after movements. Both Omega, Sinn, Tutima and Heuer were all eager to use the movement in their watches. Tutima, which in this case is an interesting brand, started to use Lemania 5100 in their watches that was used by the German military army in 1985. Sinn also used the movement in their 140 MKII, a model considered so reliable that it was sent off to space.
The Lemania 5100 has become a legendary movement among watchcollectors. There
is a whole cult around the Lemania 5100 where there are collectors buying just watches with this movement, much in the same way there are collectors on the Valjoux 72 movement. You can notice this at various auctions where well preserved watches with 5100 movement are sold for high amounts. This is actually not so strange - the classical 5100 is not made anymore so the supplies are limited.
If you are searching for something reliable, robust, powerfull, useful chronograph made with great engineering - then the Lemania 5100 is exactly what you are looking for!
