The Watch

About Aurogenta isn’t much known but they could for sure do amazing dials. We can always hope that Gerald Genta had something to do with the brand, maybe his dog or best friend was named Auro - Auro Genta.

About the movement do we know a lot, since it is one of the most famous chronograph movement ever.

Valjoux Cal. 7733 is a cam-switching chronograph movement based on the Venus 188. After Valjoux acquired Venus in 1966, the company took the affordable Venus Cal. 188 architecture and launched a new Valjoux-branded movement, cal. 7733. The only notable change was the use of a mobile stud carrier.

The movement was thoroughly redesigned by Valjoux as the Cal. 7733, launched in 1969. The original excenter adjustable hammer was replaced by a rocker design in 1971. The shape of the hammer was modified again in 1974.

The 7733 was used be Breitling in some of their Top-Times, by Bulova in their ”Deep Sea” and much more. A piece of watch history!

The Condition

This Chronograph got it all, black/dark blue dial, yellow/green lume, funky-style case and a tachymeter. What more to ask for? The dial have ageing beatiufylly, the lume have changed colour.

The domed crystal got some thin scratches and so does the caseback but nothing remarkable thats not is expected on a vintage sport watch. The case got some signes from use but is overall in a good condition.

The movement is professional serviced and ready to be used!
