The name Constellation was suggested to Adolphe Vallat, Omega’s sales manager, by Bruno Passoni, a sales representative of Carlo De Marchi, Omega’s general agent for Italy.

The Condition
It's hard to believe that this watch is over 50 years old. The watch is well preserved and is in an a beautiful condition despite the age. The original dial is in good condition with jsut small signs of ageing. The onyx-inlaid index' is in very good condition. The dog leg case have been polished sometimes during its life but still got all proportions intact in is in good condition without deep scratches or dings. The watch still got the original crown and even the crystal is original with the Omega symbol in the centre. The crystal got small signs of wear. The watch really is as nice as it looks in the pictures!
