The Watch

In the worlds of fashion and elegance, De Ville encapsulates refinement of style and meticulous finish in designs from abstemious classicism. The De Ville line was born in 1960. It descended from the Seamaster, whose monocoque - or one-piece - case could only opened via the bezel. This, together with its bevelled case middle, provided a freedom to design models that combined the slender refine of a dress watch.

In fact, the name of Seamaster De Ville was a combination of the powerful Seamaster character with the sophisticated persona of De Ville to represent the fashionable, refined watches of the different lines of Omega’s collections, the precision of the Constellations, the sportiveness of the Seamaster, and the elegance of the Geneva line.

The Condition

This watch is ready to be worn. The case is sharp and the golden case is shimmering in the light. It got some signs of wear but what to expect? The caseback is stunning. The dial got some dots from ageing and so have also the second hand. The dial got a light, beautiful creamy patina that is lovely for a vintage collector. The chrystal is original and like new - no scratches or dents.

The box is a bit worn but nothing remarkable. Excra fun is that the original instruction note comes with the box and is intact.
