The Watch
The DeVille line was born in 1960. In october 1960, the DeVille only existed in advertisements and catalogues; here the name DeVille created a distinction between monocouqe models and the other Seamaster models, albeit that this DeVille line only featured the Seamaster name on its dials. In 1963, the name Seamaster DeVille appeared on watch dials. This was at the request of Norman Morris, Omegas general agent in the United States, who liked the DeVille´s combination of features and had adopted it as a sales leader. But, the combination of “Seamaster” and “DeVille” didn't last long on the dial. In 1967 only DeVille was left, hence the configuration with "Seamaster DeVille" became interesting for collectors and connoisseurs.
