The Watch

The Seamasters was launched in 1948 and have achieved worldwide fame for their rugged reliability. The Seamaster family had its origins in the watches supplied to the British Airforce during the second world war. In 1954, 50 cases equipped with O-ring gaskets were submitted to a succession of extremely severe tests, both in the factory and at the Swiss Laboratory for Watchmaking Reswarch. Each case perfectly resisted pressures of 6 kg/cm2 (corresponding to a depth of 60 metres) and temperatures from -40 C to +50 C, all without showing any trace of water infiltration or humidity.

The Condition

This is one of a kind! One of the most well preserved Omegas we have seen, almost in a NOS condition - look at the dial and case!

The case has got some small signs of wear but is overall in a pristine condition and unpolished, look at the amazing chamfers.

The crown is original and so is the dial - they are in very good condition with minor signs of ageing. The dial is the most spectacular detail of this watch with the big size numeral index’! The lume have developed a beautiful brown-ish color.

Even the crystal is original with the omega symbol in centre.

A true stunner for the true watch connoisseur!!!
