The Watch

Ever heard of Jan Wic? Neither do we! This seems to be a rare producer from the 1960’s that was based in Sweden. Not much is known about them more than that built their own watches with, for the time, the most reliable movement.
This beautiful ”diver” got a AS 1803. The AS 1803 was released as so-called “Standard” caliber around 1960/1970’s. It should be a cost-efficient but good quality alternative to check Roskopf movements, which especially on upcoming quartz crisis were a threat to the manufacturers under the roof of the Ebauches SA.

It bases on the caliber AS 1800 and extends it with a date indication and a semi-fast corrector.

The Condition

This rare and beautiful skindiver from Jan Wic, exactly how you want them - used but original and in beautiful condition.

It got an amazing original dial in a great condition with beautiful patinated index and big numerals. It also got the rare ”big” arrow hands, just like the super rare Omega Speedmaster once had.

The lume have developed a beautiful brown/yellow-ish creamy patina.

The case is well preserved with sharp lines.

The crown is probably original.
