The Watch

The Seamasters was launched in 1948 and have achieved worldwide fame for their rugged reliability. The Seamaster family had its origins in the watches supplied to the British Airforce during the second world war. In 1954, 50 cases equipped with O-ring gaskets were submitted to a succession of extremely severe tests, both in the factory and at the Swiss Laboratory for Watchmaking Reswarch. Each case perfectly resisted pressures of 6 kg/cm2 (corresponding to a depth of 60 metres) and temperatures from -40 C to +50 C, all without showing any trace of water infiltration or humidity.

This Omega Seamaster is powered by the excellent 355 caliber with swan neck regulator. This is one of the first Seamaster model with date. And where to put the date-window at index number three like everyone else? No, at index six!

This watch got an factory original dial with a nice patina. Applied indexes and logo and original “Dauphine” hands.

The case has got some small signs of wear but is overall in a nice condition with original bevels. The crown is original. A true stunner!
