The Tissot Pointer date is well known for the high outstanding and reliable movements. And that has its reasons; during the early 1940's Tissot and Omega was working closely together on making high-end watches since the companies merged in early 1930. Togheter the history tells us that they produced the calibre 27. But the calibre 27 actually was the true legacy of a company named Lemania whom merged with Tissot and Omega in 1932.
Tissot/Omega adopted Lemania’s calibre 27 and used the movement until the late 1950’s. The base calibre 27 was from the mid 1930 until the mid 1950’ies placed in the most desirable of Tissot watches. Actually, Tissot refined Lemania’s calibre 27 into a family of calibres which started with numbers running from calibre 27-1 and ended with caliber 27-7.

This Tissot Antimagnetique is in a nice vintage condition. There is some sign of use at the case and caseback but the lugs are sharp and well preserved. The dial have aged nicely and have become a bit more creamy and the numerals have developed a beautiful, darker patina. The datenumbers is all visiable and easy to read. The dial is original and untouched. The hands have at some point probably been relumed but have today a dark green/yellow-sih colour.
