The Watch
Movado Ref. 18136 with François Borgel case – a watch for the informed collector.
François Borgel was among the most influential Swiss case makers, renowned for his patented waterproof case designs and for supplying cases to some of the industry’s most prestigious brands. Watches retaining their original FB cases are increasingly appreciated by collectors.
What makes this particularly appealing to collectors is that François Borgel supplied cases not only to Movado, but also to Patek Philippe and other renowned Swiss manufacturers. For many enthusiasts, the FB hallmark itself is a sign of exceptional quality, engineering, and historical significance.
Combined with Movado’s reputation for producing refined in-house mechanical watches, this example represents a compelling piece of Swiss horological history.
