THE WATCH
Introduced in the early 1990s, the Seamaster Professional 300M marked an important new era for Omega. With its unmistakable wave-pattern dial, skeletonised hands, helium escape valve and robust construction, the collection quickly established itself as one of the most recognisable sports watches of its generation. Its appearance on the wrist of James Bond in GoldenEye (1995) would only strengthen its iconic status.
The chronograph version took the concept one step further, combining the professional diving capabilities of the Seamaster with the functionality of a mechanical chronograph.
Among the various configurations produced, reference 2598.80 stands out as a particularly interesting variation. Unlike its more familiar sibling, reference 2599.80, which featured a blue aluminium bezel, the 2598.80 was originally delivered with a polished stainless steel bezel, giving the watch a distinctive and somewhat more understated appearance.
Beneath the sapphire crystal sits Omega’s beautiful deep-blue wave-pattern dial, complemented by three chronograph registers, luminous hour markers and the characteristic skeletonised hands.
The example offered by WOFS Watches has been fitted with a blue bezel, giving it the classic nautical appearance associated with the Seamaster Professional collection. Importantly, its original polished stainless steel bezel is also included, allowing its future owner to enjoy two distinctly different expressions of the same watch.
Accompanied by its Omega stainless steel bracelet, an Omega Boutique document holder and the original steel bezel, this is a compelling example of one of Omega’s most charismatic sports chronographs from the 1990s.
A wonderful combination of purposeful engineering, unmistakable design and modern vintage charm.

The Condition
This lovely Omega Seamaster 300 is in a lovely vintage condition. The case has got some small signs of wear but is overall in a beautiful condition and unpolished.
The crown is original and so is the dial - they are in very good condition with minor signs of ageing even if there is a small, small mark at the crystal (see photo)
The bracelet shows sign of wear but is still in very nice condition.
The ”new” blue bezel is original and very well preserved. The original one in steel is also in good condition but with signs of use.
A true stunner for the true watch connoisseur!!!
